Our Commitment Not to Use Ad Services
I’m not too fond of ad services. I don’t think they’re practical, and I don’t particularly appreciate being bombarded with ads when I’m trying to use a blog or video. I don’t have any problem with ads on a limited scale, but I’ve decided I don’t need a service to fill that role.

Ad services create a nightmare-scape across the places we visit and the things we view online. They are a blight. The worst part is that they don’t even work. Bloggers use strategies to get unintentional clicks on ads by framing every paragraph with them. The ads are often irrelevant, distracting, and obnoxious. Frankly, the words between them are not so helpful either. Bloggers often write in long, repetitive prose with no purpose other than to rank higher on search engines.

I don’t want to be a part of that. There is no value in eroding my readership with ads, and I don’t want to bombard people with advertising when they’re trying to read what I’ve written.

Instead, I want to create an online space I feel comfortable living in–a digital paradise.

So, I’ve decided: no ad services.

I have emphasized helpful affiliations and links on this site, preferably, but not always, pointed toward my own products.

Our Commitment to Original Products
I do not support art created solely through stock images because I believe it dilutes the market and creates unreasonable expectations of artists of original work.

I fully support art generated by complex and well-fed algorithms. AI is the future, and they create attractive and complex original images. I believe these sorts of art have value and deserve respect.

Our Commitment to Quality
The products on this site are of the highest quality possible. Indeed, I use top-of-the-line materials, and I take the time to ensure that each product is the best I can make before listing it for sale.

I am committed to creating a safe and welcoming online space for everyone. This site reflects my values, and I want you to feel at home here.

Our Goal

I want this business to be a significant source of income for my family and me.

However, I believe that art should be accessible to everyone, and I work hard to keep my prices affordable. In my ideal world, I could offer everything I create for free simply because I don’t need compensation. However, I also recognize that we live in a world with exceptionally high demands for free content, which is not sustainable for the individuals who produce it.

The demand for free content contributes to the manipulative strategies bloggers and ad services use to make money–strategies that I have taken a stance against.

So, I charge what I think is a fair price for many of my products. But, I also offer discounts and sales periodically so everyone can enjoy my work. The content that I do offer for free, I offer because I want to contribute to the development and benefit of children through my talents.

Cory Shaw is an author and illustrator developing a bond between children and nature through literature, art, and kids activities.
When he is not writing or painting, he spends most of his time thinking of ways to outfox a fox, finding the best hiding places along nature trails, and making bunnies scurry out from under the brush.

Cory makes his den in Salt Lake, UT, which he shares with three cubs and a mama bear. He gets writing advice from a Siberian Husky named Sasha and takes art lessons from a goldfish.
